The riding has been beautiful - especially the side roads. Loads of wildlife. Thanks to Spencer for the tip on taking the Old Hedley Road instead of the highway.
We've just spent a cushy night with friends in Osoyoos after a great show at the gorgeous Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort. I was really worried about the Osoyoos screening - I had a nightmare the night before that only 3 people showed up. But it turned out that the local paper had run an article on us before we arrived (a reporter also came to the screening), and Grant and I spent the afternoon running around handing out a few flyers. We ended up with about 30 enthousiastic folks from as far away as Penticton.
We were happy to see lots of teachers in the crowd, and we finally got to meet Jan and Jen from Plastic Free Penticton; Jan is about to go to Midway Island to film more of the impacts of plastic on the albatross there. Stay tuned for the documentary he's working on.
Katrina from Spirit Ridge went out of her way to help us set up, inviting friends on facebook, putting posters up all over the resort, and generally making us feel super special. Thanks Katrina!
Today we battle the hill out of Osoyoos aptly named Anarchist Hill. Wish us luck!
