Clean Bin Tour Day 28 - Wind for Canada Day

Happy Canada Day!  It's hard to believe that this time last year we were having the official weigh in to mark the end of The Clean Bin Project.  We were just starting to work through all our film footage and I'm not even sure that the idea of a cross Canada cycle film tour had even occurred to us! And here we are in Medicine Hat with slightly bruised bottoms and excellent farmers tans, toting our film across the country.

Someone who had done this cross Canada cycle thing told us that the BC mountains weren't the hardest part of the trip.  They mentioned something about scorching heat, massive mosquitoes, shoulderless roads, and wind.

Ya. . . . wind.

It's both our best friend and our worst enemy.

One day (ie yesterday) it's coming from the west, pushing us along at 30km/hr without even peddling, and the next (ie today) it's coming from the east, and we're straining to go 10km/hr. We've had some pretty crazy, blow your tent away, gales, making it hard to predict if it will take us 6 hours or 9 hours to get to the next town.

But at least it means no bugs. And we're still on schedule for our back to back Moose Jaw and Regina screenings.

Next stop, Saskatchewan!
