Is it possible to live completely waste free? In this multi-award winning, festival favourite, partners Jen and Grant go head to head in a competition to see who can swear off consumerism and produce the least garbage Their light-hearted competition is set against a darker examination of the problem waste. Even as Grant and Jen start to garner interest in their project, they struggle to find meaning in their minuscule influence on the large-scale environmental impacts of our “throw-away society”. Described as An Inconvenient Truth meets Super Size Me, The Clean Bin Project features laugh out loud moments, stop motion animations, and unforgettable imagery. Wahoo! Home DVDs of The Clean Bin Project are finally available!
In Canada, you can get them on Amazon.ca. Everywhere else, you can buy direct through our website.
We are happy to say that our DVDs come in a 100% recycled cardboard case printed with soy inks. The DVDs themselves are, of course, plastic, but at the end of their life you can always mail them back to us for recycling if you don't have facilities near you.
Digital downloads through itunes in Canada and coming soon for everywhere else.

The people of Palmerston North were amazingly hospitable. By the end of the first week we had access to bicycles and a car, had been invited to 3 locals' homes for dinner, and were staying at someone's house while they were away for the weekend! The City organized a run of events for us throughout the week, so we got to speak to hundreds of school children as well as government employees about waste reduction and compare how resources differ from Canada.
We met a bunch of great filmmakers from all over the world including Joel Heath who directed People of a Feather and who, it turns out, lives just a block away from us back here in Vancouver.
Thanks again to the festival and all involved for making it a memorable trip!
