Clean Bin Tour Day 24 - Crowsnest to Calgary

We took the scenic route from Crowsnest to Calgary.  A bit hillier, but infinitely less travelled. Our host Matt had the day off and rode with us for the first 20kms, taking us by a lovely waterfall on the backroads.  This was the view from our campsite the first night.

We rode north through cowboy country and into Okotoks, stopping only in Black Diamond for the best berry pie EVER (Grant had 2 pieces).

We had a couple days off before the Calgary screening and ran around putting up a few posters and doing spots on CTV and CBC.  We also met up with Nicole, owner of our fabulous sponsor Urban Impact, a company who has recently expanded from Vancouver to (you guessed it) Calgary. It was a great match because while we're encouraging residents to go zero waste, they're busy helping businesses do the same.  We can't thank them enough for their support on the first leg of our tour.

The film played to a small, but enthousiastic Calgary crowd who had all kinds of questions and comments afterwards.  People came from as far away as Red Deer and Drayton Valley! Thanks to the Globe Cinema for supporting reusable mugs by charging folks for a small regardless of mug size.

After the show, we spent some quality time with family in Okotoks and attended Jen's cousin's wedding before hitting the prarie road.
