School Screenings
We had our first screenings today with a 50 minute student version of The Clean Bin Project.
It was really, really hard to trim 25 minutes off the film, but a shorter version fits better in a class block. We were pretty nervous for our first test screening of the kids cut, but it went awesome! We did two back to back blocks at Van Tech Secondary, and the students were really receptive. They asked all the hard questions right off the bat - like what about toilet paper and condoms and feminine hygiene - you know, the important stuff.
We even got to sign a couple autographs which seriously made us feel like rockstars. (excuse the crappy photo, but we just had to record that moment).
We're going to make a couple tiny tweaks, and then we hope to have the short DVD cuts available to schools. By September, we hope to have school districts all over showing The Clean Bin Project and chatting zero waste!

Hi!
I saw your movie at VanTech just wanted to say how amazing it was. I would love to watch the full length version. Is there any way to get a hold of a copy or are you doing any other screenings in Vancouver in the near future?
Thanks for coming to our school. It was a great kick off to our earth week and the sustainability committee and I were really happy to have you there. I heard a number of people talking about it in our hallways. You guys created quite the buzz.
Thanks again,
Zoë
Hey There!
Watched your screening at Van Tech; Just wanted to let you guys know that what you did was awesome! It must have been really hard to do that... have the poster you guys signed hanging in my room & I just blogged to all my followers about what you are doing.
:) Thanks for coming to our school!
Thanks for the feedback guys, we were so happy you invited us to Van Tech! I hope you were inspired to make a personal change - just one thing.
Van Tech will have a copy of the full length film soon. We also list all our screenings on this website. If you want a copy of the DVD for yourself, they will be available once we're done with film festivals. Stay tuned!
