Is it possible to live completely waste free? In this multi-award winning, festival favourite, partners Jen and Grant go head to head in a competition to see who can swear off consumerism and produce the least garbage Their light-hearted competition is set against a darker examination of the problem waste.  Even as Grant and Jen start to garner interest in their project, they struggle to find meaning in their minuscule influence on the large-scale environmental impacts of our “throw-away society”. Described as An Inconvenient Truth meets Super Size Me, The Clean Bin Project features laugh out loud moments, stop motion animations, and unforgettable imagery. Captivating interviews with renowned artist, Chris Jordan and TED Lecturer Captain Charles Moore, make this film a fun and inspiring call to individual action that speaks to crowds of all ages.

Vancouver Sun: "a short walk from the garbage can to the red carpet"

Yes, the hockey playoffs (go Canucks go) were on the front page of the Sun yesterday, but guess who was on the 2nd page?

If you missed it, check out our interview with the Sun's Larry Pynn here. The online version doesn't have the photo, but you get the idea.

Full credit to the fabulous marketing team at the Projecting Change Film Festival for getting us the interview.

Projecting Change Film Festival Here We Come!

We've been eyeing The Projecting Change Film Festival ever since we started filming The Clean Bin Project.  Projecting Change is all about films that tackle social and environmental issues and call for positive action. It's right up our alley; plus it's based right here in Vancouver. Needless to say, we are super stoked to be part of the roster this year!

There are a bunch of great films that I can't wait to check out (see the full list at http://projectingchange.ca/schedule/) as well as an intriguiging list of guest speakers paired with each film.

The Clean Bin Project is screening twice. Our short "student cut' version is playing on Friday, May 27th for registered school groups, and the feature film is playing on Sunday, May 29th at 10:00 am. Tickets available on the Projecting Change website. Hope to see you there!
